This is my first Brickfilm attempt.
I'm a young french director and I am fascinated by stop-motion. I learnt animation last year thanks to this site. I was lucky enough to get some funds and then launched the production of this short, with the help of some friends. |

The New Neighbour is one of those extraordinary debut films which appears every so often which delivers to the audience a worth while experience. The film is in French however the Director has included subtitles so anyone who doesn't know much French can still understand and enjoy the overall experience.
While the concept of the story is fairly simple, there are still many twists and fantastic jokes to be had along the way. All the technical qualities are great, especially the lighting and overall set design which makes the viewer believe that this world is real. And also some of the animation design is very original and the framing on the dramatic shots is very professional.
This film will not fail to entertain and should defiantly not be missed. I hope to see more from this Director in the near future.
An amazing first attempt at brickfilming from an obviously talented and experienced filmmaker.
I won't spoil the story for you, but I can tell you that there is obviously experience behind the brilliant script writing as well. The jokes just pop up out of nowhere and take you by surprise at just the right moment.
The sets are some of the most detailed I have ever seen in a brickfilm.
This is defiantly a film not to be missed and I look forward to seeing more films by this director, now to find a beer.
