It is our first project and it costs a lot of time.Soccer Maniac is a short but effectful brickfilm. Furthermore we (mtproductions a team of two brickfilmers) try to show interesting aspects of a Soccer game and link them with a lot of action for example a mexican wave, volley shots and so on.....Try it out. I hope you enjoy. |

THE GOOD:
- the director manages to get the mood in a soccer stadium across
- the action is well synchronised with the music
- much action going on, many minifigs move at the same time
- the flying-ball-effect looks very good
- the waves of the viewers were just cool
- a robotic arbitrator (what could you possibly want more?)
- the ego-perspective of the goal scorer is very intense and well filmed (nice pannings, too!)
THE BAD:
- choppy animation (forgivable if you look at the amount of figs moved simultaneously)
- the sounds (especially the punches) didn't fit so well
- shadows on the set
- the shaky camera
THE UGLY:
- the file size
If you can afford the download, check it out.
