Much like Proto's other music videos, "Pictures He Drew" follows the lyrics of the song quite closely. It's not as upbeat as his other films though, dealing with a subject that is as dark as it is clich?d.
All the technical qualities of the film are quite impressive. Proto makes good use of alternative pieces (the main character), and there are several instances of innovative filmmaking throughout. For this, as well as excellent visual storytelling, "Pictures He Drew" is recommended for most anyone.
