Ah yes.
Fairy Tale is certainly an interesting music video but I have to say, it doesn't get much points for originality. I must say that I am rather impressed with the aesthetic qualities of the film and the attention to detail put into every shot (keep an eye out for the nice bounces on the piano playing, and detail put into the lighting of each shot). Since I know this song very well (and am not a particular fan of it at all!), and have seen the original music video, I wasn't too impressed with the film's overall atmosphere of emotion. I guess if you're a viewer who has never heard the song or watched the original music video, this film may have a different effect on you emotionally.
Definitely take a look at it if you're into technical brilliance.
