    Hi everyone,

Can someone makes a 3d can model (like a mountain dew can). I can add the texture if you don’t have one. I need this because I know how to animate but not how to model 3d things.

    THANKS! 😀

Look on the web. There are tons of free models out there. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a can model.

Check http://www.3dlinks.com I believe there’s a link in the side bar for free models.

EDIT: Btw, what software are you using? Blender?

Try this link for tons of different converters:

BTW, dwg files (like your soda can example) are from AutoCAD.

It’s worth putting in the effort to do the maths in PovRay. I’m relearning all my old vector geometry for some CGI stuff I’m working on and it’s looking quite good so far.

Or spend $200 and get the 3D toolkit. It’s not free, but you get a lot of tutorials and perhaps one of the best renderers around. The modeling system isn’t too bad either (imo, anyway).

    Wandrer,

How does POV-Ray work with Ldraw?
