In light of recent sentiments, this is the Animate Something! thread. Go animate something. This is mainly for people who haven’t animated in a significant amount of time, but not just for those people.

If you want to participate in the thread:
    1. Animate Something. It only has to be a couple of seconds. It has to be new.
    2. Post it.
    3. Share what you like and don’t like about the clip.
    4. Help other people who suck worse than you do.

    This isn’t the work-in-progress thread.

    I’ll go first.

I don’t really like it. I was trying to accelerate and decelerate when it wasn’t necessary, and it didn’t turn out well at all. I also tried to have the guy walk diagonally, and it looked like he sped up a lot during that part. I had fun with the lighting though.

What I liked: Great Visuals, nice lighting.

What I didn’t like: It looked like there were a few camera bumps.

    Overall, a pretty good clip.

Here’s my video of random people doing, uh… stuff. MOV

By the Way, I think this is an awesome idea for a thread.

    Concerning Krick’s clip:
The animation was smooth, ‘cept for the small thing you mentioned with the man walking and some bumps here or there. I liked the set design. The lighting was… okay, but the red glare on the walking man was annoying.

    Concerning, Munzapoppa’s clip:
‘Twas a nice little shot there. The animation was smooth, I didn’t see any set bumps, there was minimal light flicker, and you even got a chuckle outta me. However, there’s essentially no set (not too important for just a small test like that, though) and the camera cut threw me off a bit.

Unfortunately, I don’t have anything to post right now.

I have a question. By new, you mean just filmed, right? Not never seen.

Yes, don’t just dig something up from your harddrive.

@Munzapoppa, the stick seemed to lack weight. Other than that it was ok.

That clip was pretty good. Fluid animation, great lighting, and it also looked like a part of a movie. But the background was too plain. Maybe next time make it look like sky.
