@badgerboy: Ok so i checked it out – it looks ok, but the problem with it is that the clips are a maximum of 20 seconds each, and that’s not really what i’m shooting for. The montage is for monumental-like-one-liners. For example, one of the clips in the montage’s 2006 counterpart shows Gandalf saying “YOU SHALL NOT PAAAAAASS”, whereas I would…[Read more]
cool. i’ll check that out, thanks.
i still think it would make a good contest though…
lol sounds more like a bad habit than a useful trick. although i guess it could be a time saver if used sparingly…
when animating in 3d, try to joint and animate your minifig as if it were made out of clay. I started doing this after playing lego SW and it’s really improved my animations. I dunno why but…[Read more]

You could do a comedy in the desert in 15 000 BC
Or you could have a comedy at…[Read more]
i didn’t see anything about this in the rules: can it be animated in 3d rather than in stop-motion? I’d love to submit something 3d for this, as I’ve gotten really good at that and making an animation of lego would be pretty easy (in 3d).
I was already thinking of making a 3d brickfilm for fun, so if i don’t get an answer to that question i’ll…[Read more]
I agree with spudster45
I loved it. That was… awesome.
Not bad, but it does look a little bit like he’s just kind of flopping down. That is, it looks more like an energetic sit-down than a jump in the air.
Still looks nice though.

Ok, I’m not sure if this is even a problem that needs fixing, but here’s what it is:
I went to view the ‘rating rubric’ for Driven (by LOTL – excellent film btw). I was clicking through the different sections. When I finally arrived at sound, something weird happened it displayed two of the rating columns as highlighted, whereas for the other…[Read more]

Thanks to Ahnt for filling the Boss part – very well done!
Also, I still need voice actors, so come on people, show some brickvoicing spirit!
EDIT: As well, thanks a million to DarthVincentPrice for doing the lines for Mathew! They were awesome!
Okay, please pm me with a testline.
Nice. Awesome quality. I also think there’s a bit of a march thing going on there too. However, I think it’s only because of a pause in the middle, not the arms and legs.
I agree with Shale. I think the members of this forum would be glad to help you if you tell us what films were rejected, and provide a working link.
I know I’d be glad to voice my opinion.
Hey, that was really good. It kind of had a classic fable (the tortoise and the hare, etc.) feel to it. I really liked it.
Animation – very smooth, and pleasing to the eye.
Story – classic feel to it.
Enjoyment Factor – I liked it
Things that could be improved, and why:
Sound – You need music, and perhaps some…[Read more]
It looked nice, but kind of cartoony. That’s fine, but everything else looked non cartoony, so it didn’t fit.
I have a clip ready and waiting. It’s about 22 seconds, and I’m quite proud of it, but we’re on dial up so it’ll take forever to go. We’re going back home (we’re at our cottage right now) tomorrow, so I can send it then.
I also haven’t done sound effects yet, although I will once we get home.
‘Firefox cannot establish connection with brickshelf.com’?
But, yeah, I’d like to feature a trailer for my new film once it’s done. It’s gonna have some slick CGI and some killer stop motion.
And even some wicked stop motion integrated with some awesome CGI IN THE SAME SHOT! WOAH!
Well anyways I do want to be a part of this… somehow.…[Read more]
