I’m going to try something new this time, I’m going to make my movie TWICE!
The same way LucasFilm uses GI Joes and Barbies to play out scenes before spending millions shooting scenes, I’m going to video the minifigs as I move them on sticks. I’ll then cut the footage to the piece of music I’m using.
That way, I’ll have all the angles…[Read more]

I’d just like to apologise for being such an idiot in your lightsaber thread before you left. I know that probably wasn’t the reason you disappeared, but I always sort of felt like it might have been my fault you left.
No Worries! I had all kinds of life-stuff happening. Words on a screen can’t hurt me……[Read more]
WOOT! After searching through about 100 DVDs I found the AVI!
I also found the time-lapse I shot while I was making the shot. I’d forgotten it took 2.5 hours to shoot it

I apologize if the title of the post somehow created expectation of riveting dialog and an edge-of-your-seat story. I guess I would have also posted in “Post and review films” if I thought it was an…[Read more]

That was GREAT! I was chuckling through most of the movie – very well done! I liked the characters – I think you might have something you can build on here.
I wonder just how big an effect over all drugs has on the population. Do drug addicts reproduce more or less than non-drug users? Are the numbers of users drastically changing? Some percentage of the people will always crave the altered state of mind, but I doubt they do more harm than lazy or negligent people overall. The financial burden is…[Read more]
I think it’s odd that so many people take it for granted that humanity is doomed by its OWN hand.
Life expectancy has NEVER been higher, disease control never better and food production so efficient. Granted, we have too many hungry and sick people now, but as people become more educated, they tend to have fewer children. I think we are on a…[Read more]
Living in IOWA I can tell you that the farmers here are VERY interested in biodiesel! To hear the farmers talk about it, they essentially get to sell the same bushell of corn/soybeans TWICE – once for the oil and once as high quality animal feed. Another perk… the exhaust from bio diesel is said to smell like French Fries! 😆
So would…[Read more]
BrickBrock, thanks for the AWESOME breakdown of the amount of solar energy available! This leads me to a THIRD question about making hydrogen on an affordable and MASSIVE scale.
Would it be efficient to use solar energy to electrolyze sea water to create hydrogen? You’d wind up with hydrogen, oxygen, salt , minerals and probably some plankton…[Read more]
Well… I guess we know which bank Kerry goes to.. the one in FLINT!
I see that the upcoming TIME Magazine will have an interview with Micheal Moore about his movie. I wonder how THAT will play with the fact-checkers. This quote interests me…

Moore’s film provokes anger, uneasy feelings
Fahrenheit 9/11 made me angrier than any movie I’ve ever seen.
It was a good anger, hard, clean and righteous, and I enjoyed it so much that I went back three days later to experience it again. Took two of my sons and two of their friends so they could become…[Read more]

It’s a bit idealistic, for sure, but I think it’s definitely better than the alternative of controlling what films are and aren’t made at an authoritative level.
