Not incredible quality but a tremendous difference over the original file
yes, I was going to say, its still far from a crystal clear image, but it’s the best we knew how to do at the time.
is it possible you make a quick time version?
Do you think you could upload the HQ in several parts?
It is possible someday… but it took me 3…[Read more]

Funny you should ask. I just finally managed to upload this the other day.

I kinda like ours better, even though it’s obviously not exactly the Beatles.
And don’t ask me why its a huge bitmap, cause I have no idea.
Why does the web page say the deadline was December 1st?
Sorry guys, I really think we used up almost all of our Star Wars gags in TGD. I’ve only thought of a couple since it was released that would be worthwhile. Though maybe if we brought in the Ewok adventures…
Right now anyway we’re working, very slowly, on stranger, weirder, and less copyrighted things.
[spoiler]Nunch! Our pokemon ignorance has been exposed. :wink [/spoiler]
Excellent film though. Simple, but you did a very good job of turning some of the lines into real gags. That’s a lot harder to do than to just make something really weird happen to explain the line.
I’ll assume you asked Leftfield Studios to use that line.
I’ll assume…[Read more]
Probably a stupid question but anyway, is it all right if I include a 2 second clip from one of my own previously released films? Or does everything single thing need to be new?
I’m pretty sure Leftfield is mostly teenagers.
It’s taken me a long time to get a decent understanding of how they’re organized, but I think most of them are 20 or over.
Saying we’re organized might be something of an overstatement :wink but yes, of the 3 of us who do almost all the work, Dewayne_leftfield is 20, I’m 18, and…[Read more]

…I find the Internet’s soggy with “brick films”?! Time to get off my arse and do something. Show these upstart whippersnappers who’ve got it too easy! bah humbug etc etc. Man – if I’d had access to an Internet in 1985…
The visual effects were also pretty nice, you used alamdv2, did you?
Actually no, rstudios who generously provided most of the planet backgrounds, (Wiamea and Eldura) used it to make those backgrounds. However all the lightsabers, lasers, and such were done by me in Axagon Composer.
Well I’m still mystified that Hoogiman’s film didn’t make the top ten, but other than that I can’t exactly complain. :wink
I just started my first year of college, so like Mot I might not able to keep up with brickfilms quite as much. Don’t worry though, the rest of the Leftfield crew should still be cranking out films.
[quote]P.S. I saw that Evlis_Left Fielder’s cameo!
Please, enlighten me!
I can think of three shots with the Elvis minifig off the top of my head :), and there might be more that I forgot.
I caught the LOTR, Spaceballs; Good, Bad, Ugly; Abbot and Costello, Calvin and Hobbs (was that in the credits?), Pirates, Princess Bride,…
As others have mentioned, the file downloaded rather fast. It only took my dial-up connection twenty hours and six minutes to squeeze it out like the dregs of the toothpaste tube.
So my sympathy for those without DSL is measured somewhere in the negative numbers

That was short alright.
I really liked the set. The piano looks great , almost as good as my baby grand in a Beatles Christmas. I hope you use it for some music in future films.
Finally, If anyones trying to decide if you want to watch this short, you might as well because you just spent as much time reading my review as it would take…[Read more]
Thanks for all the comments!
Your signature would make a great description of this film!
I’ll take that as a compliment. :wink

Except my audio doesn’t sync up with the video anymore. What gives? There are also a few hiccups where the video “hangs”
Has anyone else had these problems?
I had the exact same problems when I first tried to make real media from Pinnacle. No solution that I know of for pinnacle :evil . I just use Helix Producer…[Read more]
Finally finished mine , and with over four hours to spare! I’m uploading now. It’s still going to be a while on dialup but it be up long before its midnight in Denver. 8)
I’m definitely in favor of a contest with shorter films. I have so many ideas for my films already I probably wouldn’t bother entering a contest if my film had to be 5 minutes or more to have a chance of winning unless I came up with a really good idea.
As for theme I think I would prefer something less broad than action/adventure so that it…[Read more]
Last November I attended the Navy-Notre Dame football game at Ravens Stadium. Shortly before halftime Navy (to my complete suprise ) showed a short film made with Legos on the big screen promoting Navy and Navy Football. I doubt this will help much but I thought it worth mentioning.
