I never was a huge fan of their music, but the Ear of the World video nearly made me wet my pants laughing so hard. Does anybody have that?

    Thanks, my brother screen-printed that.

I went to the one in Mountain View on the 4th of July. Most of the stuff was sold out, but I made sure to get a Squishee. Here’s a pic of me in front of it.

I can’t consider that an ending, because it’s part of the series. But the ending to #7 might just take top spot for me.

    Movie: The Conversation.
    Book: Sophie’s World.
Game: 2007 Fiesta Bowl – Boise State vs. Oklahoma.

I’m surprised at the negative reaction to the BAMPAs. Perhaps some people don’t like having their suggestions dismissed quickly, but in reality the committee did a ton of debating on what was best.

As for the late time, I realize it’s a bit disappointing, but it is testimony to the fact that the judges have lives outside of…

  • Wow. I was amazed at how well you animated the multiple characters scene. They do more action than most extras in live action films. I also loved how you gave the girl a sassy, kick-some-hiney attitude without any dialogue. Perhaps it’s just that Stikfas show more emotion, but the extra effort in animating that went a long way. The set looked…[Read more]

  • Well done, BAMPA judges! I know that the nominations process can be exceedingly long and boring, but thanks to your work, it should be a good competition this year. Best Overall Film has three strong contenders.

“OMFFFG I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!”” took more guts than “cecil…..*yawn*”

Um, neither of the two guys nominated from Grace did…[Read more]

  • I didn’t really enjoy this movie. I haven’t seen Star Trek, so perhaps that ruined it for me, but even so, nothing struck me as that funny. I did like the alien, and found it amusing that his planet desperately needed I Love Lucy episodes, but even that seemed taken from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

The technical elements were fine. The…[Read more]

  • I thought this film had an interesting story, contrary to what some have said. It wasn’t complex, but I thought it presented a single idea and emotion very well. Though the music wasn’t my favorite, it complemented the visuals.

Still, I think the overall feel of the film is immensely hurt by the animation. A melancholy piece such as this…[Read more]

  • I think the former Minister should choose whomever he/she likes for the position. As the head of Discussion, Mr. Graff should be able to nominate Cometgreen if he wishes as the last act of his Ministerhood. If he is to leave before his term ends, he still would have some influence, because the person of his choice would be Minister.

    However, he…[Read more]

  • My math teacher showed the class the “Find x” one. He said he showed it to some of his colleagues, and they didn’t get it, which makes it a lot funnier.

My cousin told me of a friend of hers who took an exit exam. The essay subject was on a short story titled, “Wonderhorse,” which was a cheesy tale about a horse. The friend opened his essay…[Read more]

  • This is an admirable film. I really like story-oriented films, and this focused on that. I enjoyed Jim Boy’s character, what with the waddling and all. The script was entertaining; I liked the cheesy lines. The best one was by far, “Why did you have to be evil?” I laughed quite a bit when I heard that. There were also some funny sight gags.

    The…[Read more]

    Hmm…

[spoiler]I didn’t really care for this film. The whole thing was build-up to something I expected to happen all along. Perhaps that’s just because I know what harbinger means. That word always triggers a memory of a Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin explains that comets are harbingers of doom. I pretty much expected the man to get hit…[Read more]

Nice work. It was interesting to see this in the context of a pilot episode – if it were a regular film I would’ve wanted more meat to it. As far as setting up the characters, this does a good job. I’ll definitely want to see more story in the next episodes.

I thought it was funny, but not particularly so. The main reason for that is I’m not a…[Read more]

  • This is a brickfilm that, while it doesn’t try anything that complex, does a good job at the basics. The coordination of the two characters is done very well, however, and the best compliment I can give is that I wasn’t sure if it was mirrored or done by hand. This movie features one pretty impressive special effect, and an excellent score.…[Read more]

Thank you, Lech. I agree that prevention is much better than cure, and a heavy dose of it seems to be the most practical method.

“Lech’s goals” wrote: Teamwork. If people don’t work well together, then I don’t expect the project itself to come out well either.

That sounds great on paper, but how do you go around implementing teamwork? What if one member will not, under any circumstances, work with another member, but both hold a crucial roles in the film? What if an…[Read more]

  • Perhaps the French won the 100 Years War. But they should have been victorious much quicker if they won at Agincourt, and the outnumbered English had an amazing victory. And their rally towards the end was because a 17 year old girl who was possibly schizophrenic was in charge.

Thanks for the correction, brianfast. But I still maintain that the price is not that unreasonable in today’s market, especially when you add to the cost the cool factor.
