You could try out Wax 2.0 for short segments.
It is a bit complicated though.
Just google “Wax Video Editor”
Well, if you have any type of heat lamp/spotlight, try shining it at a white sheet or paper. Some light will bounce off and make a night glow for the brickfilm.
Or, you could try a flashlight at a paper. I never tried that but it sounds like it would work.

It is free and comes with Windows Vista [or any windows machine]. Just give it a chance.

I would reccomend the kits under resources for walking, but if you need things like ticks, swords, hits, and even deaths, I would recommend downloading (and possiby joining) http://www.roblox.com the game is free and comes wit a whole folder of useful sounds[not trying to advertise]. 8)
