Instead of using echo, try using reverb.
Two tricks to successfully using reverb;
1.) Use a pre-set setting.
Why? Reverb is very complicated and has tons of controls. If you don’t know what you’re doing you will make it sound horrible. It is best to choose a pre-defined setting to match the environment… i.e “Small Room” for indoors and…[Read more]
Sound minister is in charge of everything related to the sound resources accessibility on brickfilms. That includes setting the basic site design of how it will roll.
Really? That must have been added to the job description recently. It wasn’t part of the curators job.
An advanced search would be neccessary.…
I don’t have this one but, if you only want to do bluescreening, then check out stupendous software imovie plugins/a. Stupendous specifically lists theirs as working with iMovie6.
I have many iMovie plugins from GeeThree and Stupendous. They all work about the same, although I think that for the $$ the Stupendous one’s are the best deal.…[Read more]
I own both and have used them with Mac animating software.
The Fire-I is NOT an improvement over the QC4000 so, don’t expect an improvement in image quality… I would say the image quality is about the same on both, the qc4000 might even be a little bit better.
The super-stiff firewire cable that comes out the side of the camera can cause…[Read more]
This one isnt USB, but you should be able to plug it into your sound card and get decent results (much better than the Lego or Logitech)
Audio Technica ATR-25/a. It retails for $69USD so, you should be able to pick one up for around $50. It is a powered condenser mic so, it will have higher output and it should be a lot quiter than the ATR20…[Read more]
No frame averaging? *gasp*
I guess I don’t quite understand what the checkbox labeled “Averaging Enabled” is for. Maybe you could explain?
Yes, it’s the initial startup splash graphic that’s a bit garish. Furtunately, it fades away quick.
One other small thing. I like how the video FPS playback rate can be set to any value,…[Read more]
Well done my friend.
(NOTE: The download link on your site doesn’t work properly. It saved it as a .dmg.html file. I had to remove the .html part of the extension after downloading.)
So far, after messing around for about a half an hour, I am very impressed.
I only tested it with a DV webcam but I’d be interested to see how it works with…[Read more]
“brick mania” wrote: Does all this talk abot sounds being copyright mean that all those Star Trek sounds I got from http://www.findsounds.com are not legal to use in brickfilms?
those are good questions;
You may, or may not, be ok to use sounds from findsounds, I’m not really in a position to say. It may depend on whether someone created a new sound very SIMILAR…[Read more]

I would disagree with that statement.
Getting some blank minifig heads off the web is MUCH cheaper and easier than using software. You can put custom faces on them using water-slip decals or model paint, or permanent marker.
Changing the heads is really not as much work as you think, and it…[Read more]

Yes, it has envelop volume control, per track and on the Master track, just like iMovie.
On my 1.67G G4 i’ve done at least 16-18 tracks, about half with a few effects, and have not had any problems…

#2. Windows would not even be able to run the install program for Mac software.
Cakewalk’s “Music Creator” is very similar to garageband.
No, its not free, but it’s only $30.
Go find that one and stop all this nonsense.
thanks for the heads-up on the band Spoon. I checked them on iTunes and, I think I’m gonna really dig them!
My favorite for 2005 was Mike Doughty. His album Haughty Melodic is awesome. (check out “i hear the bells”)

Mic’s can’t work magic. In fact, the better the mic, the more sensitive it is to picking up soft sounds and background noise.
Backround noises are always a problem, so they must be minimized.
The good thing is, this mic has a 6-foot long cord, so you can get farther away from your computer.
Also, this is a directional mic, so you…[Read more]
This is a fantastic mic!
This is one of the best stereo mics’s for under $200.
I used to own one. Unfortuntely, I sold it to buy a new Audio Technica… I wish I had kept that Sony… 😥
The fxAnimate free plugin captures directly into iMovie… if you can figure it out an keep it running.
Another way is to use iChat. it has an option to capture images from the vido feed. Then use framesplicer (free from framethief’s page) to merge the photos into a quicktime movie(any framerate you want)… then import it into iMovie.
“ticket” wrote: Dude, you realllly want to use a frame capture program, you can get much higher framerates with a capture prgram than with what ever else you are using.
What?!? You shouldnt post when you have no clue what you are talking about. That’s the dumbest thing i’ve heard all week.
