Protowrxs used the black thingies of the earbuds. Brilliant idea, I can’t say it enough. If you watch his films, it will sure pass the scene.

  • I just discovered this film, so forgive me for bumping this thread…

I thought I couldn’t concentrate anymore and couldn’t hold out watching a Brickfilm, looking at the time how much longer it would last. But then came this masterpiece… it was brilliant! It captured me from the start and feels good all the way around. The action, the natural…[Read more]

  • Somehow I feel that the average age here at Brickfilms is getting lower and lower… As do some discussions :roll

  • I had to wait two or three days, recently. But it was rejected, don’t know if that makes a difference. At least I got an answer soon and I think that was very nice. I never could have stand waiting two months for an answer. Even though the reviewers have other things to do too, I think it should be decided and posted or not within a week. Aren’t…[Read more]

At your service! Coming up, next week. Only need to record a female voice and my first two minute Lego film is finished (which funny enough actually started as a test. ;)

And thanks for the kind note!

  • Commenting on part 2:

This is one piece of brilliant, superfantastic filmmaking! I’m glad you did the voices in German, because they really rock! They are funny, I love the dialect and the subtitle jokes had me enjoy this 100% the whole film through. Best I’ve seen in years, can’t believe this isn’t rated in 9’s. For me it the amusement value…[Read more]

  • When do people start learning a lesson and stop using BrickShelf for their movies? Don’t say because it is easy, but apparently, it’s not, because it’s not working. Can somebody let Blunty free on these kind of threads? I’m with you!

  • It’s Quite Annoying, Weird Though Yet A Bit Funny. Josh, If You Write Here, You Write To Communicate, Not To Have Your Writing Look Like A Film Title.

  • We’re not talking Sundance here, I talk about people like us, who don’t have much money and if you really would want your film at a festival, you have to apply for a lot to make a chance to be chosen and that adds up. But most of the times, the festivals have asked me to send in my films.

It’s better to put your effort in getting your film on…[Read more]

  • Hmmm… I don’t think that is so “duh”, because there is no festival without submissions. People submitting a film already help the festival by investing weeks or months of works of film, which for many aren’t paid hours. There can’t be a festival without filmmakers.

The Short film festival in Cork is highly respected, the Badalona festival in…[Read more]

  • I’m glad some people came to the rescue here, this thread started a bit silly.

Josh, feel free to take whatever film you want, that’s where they are for and feel free to burn it on DVD. As long as you don’t sell it but give away, you can even burn it for others. That’s why they free downloads. I made them for other peoples enjoyment, not to…[Read more]

  • I don’t like festivals that ask for submission fee. I don’t understand why they do that, because they need the submissions. Well, I just boycott them. I’m sure they don’t care, but If everybody would do that, they would have to remove the fee. I’m still surprised that they get enough submissions. Thanks for the link though!

  • Ah, that. Better luck next time! Why don’t you try the Cork festival? You can have your revanche… :?

Whatteya talking about? I never won any kind of prize, so my films can’t have beaten anyone.

  • Yeah, and you guys don’t stand a chance against that! :wink Just kidding, I hope a lot of people do send some good stuff in, because then slowly, they might see animation with toys as an accepted form of art. I would say animating Lego is much harder than animating puppets that have been specially made for animation!

  • What a fuzz about nothing. A classic, this warning though: it will increase the number of downloads, as many are curious to see what it’s all about… Baywatch is more shocking then this. 8)

The image quality is indeed surprisingly good for a 7 year old clip. Fancy soundeffects. :wink

  • I wish I could see the Pepsi commercial again where a guy in a small Pepsi sales bus comes to the beach on a hot day, opens and enjoys a can with a microphone close to it, which is loudly broadcasted through a speaker on the bus. “Who’s first?!” Does anyone have this or know where to find it?

  • Why don’t you take an IKEA brochure or other home interior magazine to get some inspiration? Or watch Man Behaving Badly, if they are student/bachelor types. :D
