I am intrigued by your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Ahh! Sarcasm. Would that indicate that your intended meaning was that you actually are The Doctor (and pursuing the tried and true Lamp/Aled/Alex campaign tactic)? Or is it that you really think people should prefer to vote for The Doctor?

One shouldn’t sell attending community college short. The pressure for university professors to publish and the typically much larger class sizes generally results in freshman and sophomore classes being taught by…[Read more]

Je t’adore, ma cherie. Mais si vous laissez les plats dans l’évier encore une fois, vous allez être connu en tant que “Mademoiselle Curie”.

In college, I took an animation course called “Action Analysis”, where we would have a different animation assignment each week that was kind of scenario-based. For example:
– A character gives another character a flower, and is rejected
– A character slips on something and…
Here is my first run at the counts. I will check later for errors (or maybe a vote was added since your tally).
Blood = 17*3 + 19*2 + 7 = 51+38+7 = 96
Camera = 5*3 + 13*2 + 16 = 15+26+16 = 57
Computer = 0*3 + 1*2 + 2 = 0+2+2 = 4
Missprinted = 0*3 + 3*2 + 4 = 0+6+4 = 10
Pants = 4*3 + 6*2 + 8 = 12+12+8 = 32
Space = 5*3 + 3*2 + 6 = 15+6+6 =…[Read more]
That had a nice continuity and smoothness to it. It was a little hard to follow the action but things looked better when I dropped the framerate by a third.
A lot of the scenes had large hotspots (they were too bright and colors became white). For future films you will want to try reducing the brightness as you capture your frames.
Not too…[Read more]

I would hope that the films submitted to Steinerei 2007 would qualify for BAFA awards. Even if a BAFA judge does not understand the German dialog and is therefore unable to properly evaluate the quality of voice acting or…[Read more]
I was wondering why I couldn’t move this to the Moderators forums — someone beat me to the punch.

I agree. The more votes that are submitted, the less worrisome is the problem of a few “cheaters”. Also, I feel everyone benefits from the excitement of…[Read more]
Sorry for not posting sooner. The judging criteria you have posted is fair (which is the main concern); I just wonder if we can’t make it a little bit easier on judges while still providing guidance. I think one of the reasons that the THAC contest has seen such poor response with regard to judging is the complexity of the ballot (though…[Read more]
Though I was not around Brickfilms when the Chicken Dance was held, I have read about it on EZBoards and viewed the submissions that were still available. I think that little things such as the CD contest and the 3-Sisters awards greatly contributed to the vitality that early Brickfilms experienced.

I transferred my draft scriptover to the Patrons’ Script editing utility. It should be viewable by Patrons at http://www.brickfilms.com/patrons/viewscript.php?id=102. This was done more to test out Script’s sharing capability than to provide any great benefit to this project.
Could someone with the power to edit threads in this forum please edit this title? Its excessive length annoyingly stretches the screen requiring horizontal scrolling.

Yes. And yes.

As long as the films are distinct from each other (i.e., no shared footage).
