The Raiload 1881

This is a contribution to the Steinerei 2014. The brickfilm is about how the railroad from Moscow to St. Petersburg (Russia) was build. The film is inspired by a poem by Nikolay Nekrasov „The Railway“ This has been built under very bad conditions for about 11 years and had an important strategic purpose, the transport of raw materials from the former capital St Petersburg, to Moscow. Special features are that the railway is whider than the railways in Europe, besides, it was at that time the longest double-track railway in the world (not shown in the film).
