My name’s David, and I’m 14. My hobbies are rock climbing, brickfilming, general computer stuff, and checking this forum every day to see if there’s anything interesting. I like penguins (as opposed to monkeys like everybody else here. except motfilms :wink ) i’ve been lurking here for a while, but I haven’t made any films worth submitting yet.

Dang… I guess I need to post here too. I’ve been around only a few months (as a member that is). My actually finding of brickfilms was way back when even before there was 500 members. I was looking around for LEGOtm (i love being technical) movies, and found brickfilms when it was in it early stage. From that point on, I created (at least I tried) my own brickmovies, but I never was anygood at filming, and mostly, never had any real focus or KNOWledge to even film one. My dad bought a webcam (which he never used), so I used it, though it was a really crappy cam. Eventually, and after filming loads of test films (hint, I never actually finished one, cause I was never happy with the outcome), I knew that I needed to fulfill my goal of getting at least one film finished. I had a webpage for a while, and am going to be posting my current project on the web once I get my webpage back again. (**note: that’s the reason why I don’t even have a freaking avatar yet).

little about me…I am 18, wait 19…i just turned 19 about 3 days ago, its still fresh in my mind. my real name is Ryhan Resleff, male, and I live in the Pacific North Wet :| (*clears throat*)Pacific Northwest in the US. My filming name is SylverMonk, derived from my studio name, Sylverstone Studios.

My current project that I am working on now is REDSHIFT. This is going to be a thriller about racing, sweet rides, clubs, good/bad guy kinda film. But my focus will be mostly on emotion and getting the audience to connect to the main character. Im planning on having it a full length film (roughly 30 minutes) and will be developing my green screen skills and action skills.
Another film I am working on is a short film called SCRUPLES. I am still working on the script right now, but will have it done around the same time REDSHIFT comes out (August 17th). I will post later when I need voices for REDSHIFT. I won’t need them for my short though.

my hobbies are films (duh..!)..watching them and filming them, graphic art, i would like to get back into sports…but it has been a while. I enjoy hanging out with people, am in college right now and I work part time through an Independant Appraiser company (we look at damaged vehicles and see how much it is to repair them).

I have to say that it was people such as Nick Maniatis (hali), Blunty, and Buxton who have inspired me to film stop animation, but I have to give credit to everyone who has entered a film, I most likely have seen every single film on brickfilms and have gleened alot, both the good and the bad. Keep up the good work guys, I know that there are people who appreciate this kind of thing, (that includes me).

Age: 23 (05-28-05)
Location: Austin, Tx, USA
Status: Single (but not looking)
Occupation: Fascist (security)
Nationality: American
Ethnicity: Mexican
Hobby: Filmmaking, photography, art (drawing, painting, etc.), massages (giving), working out 6 days a week, and reading
I drive: Ford F-150 (currently parked until repaired)
Goals: Licensed masseur for a decade or two, return to school to become a chirporactor, but secrety hoping that one day I’ll be noticed for my work.
About me: Mostly anti-social or not when at the bar (I speak to girls when I am drunk), daring or conservative, either anrgy or docile, rebellious or automaton, nocturnal or crank, foolishly loved or hatefully despised, accepting or discriminant, hopeless one day or invincible the next, hardworking or laid back, broke or…broke. I hate and love my job (love because I am night shift and have all night to do other things, and hate because I wish not to see my bosses in the morning). I am sick of the security game, but it beats the hell out of my “Electronics Specialist” at Target. I yearn to travel and play a great game of chess with death. If you dare to approach me with goodness, I return with the same manner. If you come near me to violate me… well now, I don’t want ya’ll to think I am violent now, at least not totally. Which is why I love art, my sanctuary, my space to vent through extreme expressionism.

That is me…after a shower.

How I found Brickfilms: My mum’s friend reguarly sends us funny mediam one day she sent us a video of a remake of the scene in Star Wars Episode IV (4) where Ben Kenobi goes up to look (fainted) and tries to revive him, where he meets R2-D2, which was remade out of LEGO. On the credits was a website, in the “resources” section on the website was a link to Brickfilms. On Brickfilms I saw a link to Bluntman’s website. I loved the movie that I saw (I think it was The Game) and I became a fan. Every day I went there in search of a new movie, I still watched other stuff on Brickfilms, and I sometimes went to the forum, till one day on Blunty’s website I saw that the Brickfilms website was being sold, and that Blunty was interested. So I felt I had to check it out. I signed up for the forum when I was 11, had to send off a parental permission slip. Kinda sucked, but hey, I was desperate :D
