Hi all,

I helped make a Lego stop motion movie about William Shatner traveling back to Elizabethan England in a giant robot to destroy William Shakespeare. Patrick Stewart beams in to the rescue and must team up with Action Bill to defeat the ShatnerBot.

Watch here on our Vimeo page:

Our team at AMAA Productions created the story and we pooled our childhood Lego collections to build out the set pieces for the film.

We designed and customized the Shatner and Picard minifigs and animated nearly the entire thing using only Lego pieces at 15 frames per second.

4700 frames later, we began stitching it all together and adding laser beams, smoke, fire, explosions, and more to produce a short film that we’re really excited about.

AMAA Productions is a creative collective of four people who produce exceptional narrative films out of Austin, Texas. “Action Bill” is our first short film online, with our next film, “Synchronous”, in post-production and a third short film entering production in May.

Hope you enjoy Action Bill!
