Nos, you can find Queen songs on iTunes. I assume that you could find Spandau Ballet as well.

Not for free… I wish I didn’t have to buy songs I only plan to use once. :(

If I was to do my own version, can I change the storyline a bit?
All I have are Lego motocycles.

As much as weirdears and Tom derived from the actual anne frank story, I think that it would be GOOD to change the story.

You guys are missing the point. You can use any music and any story you like, your film must only carry the title ‘Anne Frank In Bricks’. There are no other rules. However, weirdness will win points.

Cool. I’d better start doing the script then.

eehm? does anyone where this is about? Horrible things have happen in the time anne frank lived. 6 million people were killed just because they had another religion as some stupid fool who got the power. The nazisystem was based on terror. Anything against them was eliminated. They bombed whole countreys flat just for the sake of more “lebensraum” living space for the german “übermensch” or “herrenvolk”. in hitlers ideology where some rasses minor to other ones. Which i think was terrible. There was fear around that time. Undescribeble fear. If just somebody could make a film which clearly let feel you the atmosphere.. for me , that would be the true winner of the anne frank in brick contest

EDIT – Double posted with ‘what’s in a name’ – quite appropriate really though, as I have mentioned that the title and the film need bear no relation. Weirdness will be the winning factor in this challenge. Please read the complete thread, particularly my post near the bottom of the second page. – /EDIT

Consider this to be less a competition and more of a challenge, along the lines of the X-Prize. I would like this to inspire people to think outside the box and produce a truly imaginative interpetation of the film title. Therefore, the challenge will end when I believe someone has produced a film worthy of Weirdears’ magnificent title. To be fair to others making a film, when I receive such a worthy effort, I will announce the six week run-in so they get time to complete their effort.

Well, the challenge has been thrown down by myself and risen to by Motfilms. Do any of you guys and gals have the guts to go head to head with his awesome film. As promised, I am announcing the run-in to the closing date, although I will allow a little more than the six weeks I specified, ten weeks in fact.

Films must be entered by posting a message in this thread announcing your entry, by PMing me with a working link and by posting your film for all to see in Post and Review.

All films submitted by 21st March 2005 (+/- 24 hours to allow for World Time zones) will be considered as valid.

Read through this thread to remind yourselves of the challenge. If I can be bothered, I may create a web page to contain a concise description of the challenge and a list of the entries to date. Watch this space.

WHAT??? :o
I thought there was no closing date! Oh great. I don’t even have time to do the film anyway. School, deeling with some annoying admin from a Bravehost website, I’m done for!!! :freak: :crying:

Read the rules a little better…

When I feel there may be enough entries, I will give six weeks notice of a closing date, to allow people to finish off their projects.

And you’re hardly done for. If I’m not mistaken, Tom finished his entry in something like a weeek.

Wahay, another entry, thanks Nos. Now I will have some judging to do, and we have a real challenge underway. I will review your film tonight when I get home and post comments in your thread in Post & Review.

Any chance a mod can make this thread sticky now, as the central point for information on the challenge? If so, can we please have no more off-topic ‘I might enter / dang, not enough time’ style posts. Just genuine entries and questions for clarification.
