I’m thinking of entering… Should I attempt to copy WeirdEars’ style, or go for quality randomness? (i.e., Which one will impress you more?)

I’d guess tha if you can succesfully emulate weirdears’s style that it would be quite impressive. I for one have no idea how I could ever capture the feel of his stupidity.

    that’s easy, it’s a five step process…
    1. remove 80% of your brain mass and start posting on brickfilms.com
    2. steal a character or idea, or both, from someone else and insist it’s completely original.
    3. put on several pairs of mittens to make sure you can’t grasp or move the minifigs in any way that would resemble animation acompished by even the simplest of primates.
    4. jam the camera up your rectum, just to make sure no two consecutive frames look stable.
    5. use several still shots over and over and over coz your too lazy to actually animate dialouge.

My entry (which will resume filming in January) features my smoothest animation and brilliant picture quality, but the story….yes.
I think you should use whatever works best to capture the wackiness of Weirdears.I think a high quality entry sounds good, but I’m not sure if it’s importent to put alot of work into the technical qualitues and still get beaten by a 5FPS entry.

Don’t let technical details get in the way of a good weird film.

When making my film I followed all of Bluntman’s advice except for step 4. I don’t think I’d want to use the camera again after that.
