Hi,
I got a Sony DCR-PC1E. I already worked a lot with the Sony Digicam, but I don’t know how to change it and I already looked in the manual for this problem.
When I go to “Camera” mode and I do for about 5 minutes nothing with the camera (pressing REC, etc.) to save energy, bla bla bla…
But for Stop Motion movies it doesn’t need the battery and I capture the frames on the PC, so I always have to switch the camera on after 5 minutes and programs like Dodcap, loose the connection to the camera and they stop the “capture session”?!?

Some people have suggested leaving the tray for the tape open. That would prevent it from powering off.

Absolutely : you can close the tape tray BUT don’t put a tape in it !
With no DV cassette, all right ! It won’t shut off…

Thank you, it worked, I also had to switch the “Demo mode” off.
This will make my “work” much easier.
