I find internet paranoia quite humorous.

Maybe untrustworthy wasn’t the word. He just said he wasn’t sure about them, as in, he’d heard something bad about them, but wasn’t sure if it was true. It isn’t “internet paranoia”. :(

What exactly did he hear about them?

RealPlayer used to install spyware on your computer, I believe. I don’t think they do any more, as I don’t seem to have any problems.

My dad used to not let me install DivX… or upgrade RealOne, or install VideoMach and Audacity… :roll And my mom is dead sure the reason our family computer runs so slow is that viruses are in each and every one of the movies I download of Brickfilms.com… :roll Major factor in why I saved up for a laptop :P

Spyware. Yeah, that was it. He’d probably let me now… I asked him a while ago.

And back to my question, can I still vote even though I haven’t seen all the entries? :?

I’m going to assume you mean you have not seen all the ‘finalists’. It doesn’t seem ‘right’ to vote if you haven’t seen all of the entries. Of course, I have a reason for saying this as my entry is in realvideo, which I assume means you have not seen it…

But honestly, I know I personally could not vote or comment if I had not viewed the whole field of entries.

 You’re right. I didn’t make myself very clear. But you assumed correctly.

I wouldn’t feel good about voting, either. I probably won’t. I did see yours, though, (at a friend’s house) and liked it!

I now unofficially vote in all categories for Hand Of Fate! :)

Oops, I take that back. I was able to watch all of them. I’m going to go write down my vote right now!

Trouble is, a correct vote consists of ranking all 10 films in each of the 4 categories. How can you say “Film X has better animation than film Y” if you haven’t even seen film X?

Tip: use a download manager such as GetRight, which can resume downloads. That way, you just enqueue all 10 films, make sure GetRight is running while you’re on the internet, and they will download in the background.

I said unofficially. But we’ll see… How much time do I have?

How many ballots do you have in, Josh? Any clue as to when the results will be announced?

Unless you have a film that’s been nominated, you will be voting if you:

1) are a 24fps, digital, or saintly patron
2) entered a film in the contest

Yeah I read that, but it wasn’t until I went to the patron page that I realized what “A Saintly Patron” ment.
