“In the latest excerpt from The Advanced Art of Stop-Motion Animation, Ken A. Priebe discusses the use of blue and green screen and advanced compositing.”
Great article, thanks for posting it.
With our software we’ve taken a simplier approach by allowing the animator to remove parts of the background in multiple steps. If you have great lighting and and a matte coloured background then it can be still done in one step by clicking on the background and adjusting the slider.
We’ve tried it make it easy for people to create their figures with a transparent background. They can integrate them into a stop-motion sequence or create a digital sequence by moving multiple objects on-screen against a background image.
