Hey everybody, I’m a young brickfilmer who’s new to the site. From what I’ve seen already, most people on the site use digital cameras. I was wondering if anyone else out there uses an iPod/phone/tablet to film their videos, and if they could share some tips. Currently I am using the application stop motion studio pro and a variety of other special effect apps. Thanks!

I haven’t tried using a smartphone or table for stop motion capture (I bet it’s a fun experiment) but I’ve found this great article on using your phone/tablet: http://www.tested.com/tech/photography/3650-iphones-to-dslrs-the-state-of-d-i-y-stop-motion-filmmaking/

Hey @gforce – how’s it going with the iPod film-making?

Thanks for the link, I actually use the same application which was featured in the article. The animation is easy, but the editing takes a while. I’m looking to at least begin a video within the next week and a half.

We have the same unit, although I have yet to try the camera phone for this purpose.
