Any of you guys use a CB radio? I hope to set up a base station with my Connex 3300 some time in the not so distant future. The problem is I know next to nothing about doing this, thus the means of this thread. I currently use a cheap radio I got from radio shack (it was marked down 33%, a total savings of about $20 US) in my car. Works alright, but hey, you get what you pay for.

I use it every once in awhile when my friends and i relay worldwide…..
(good for short distance communications under normall conditions–BUT– if you can point it at a repeater……)

I dabble in cb or i used to…
now i focus mainly on HAM radio….
i’m gonna hope to be getting a transceiver really soon so i can help in a national emergency……
like i did with my cb just after 9/11 happened
