OK, you got me, I’m a sucker.. I’ve thought up a really good commercial for a fictional reality show that I can do in one day (half stop-motion and half live action). I have the day off on friday so I’ll whip it up and send it to you..

Say, Bros, if you still need an advert… I only made Playmobil movies, but I like to give brickfilms a spin. Can’t make it though for the deadline, because I just read this thread. I don’t care about being in the competition, but if you still interested, I can give you one in about a week time. I really liked the initiative of using other peoples films in your film.

Wow the contest is turning out much better than we thought! We have quite a few entries in and still a day and a half left. Unfortunatly we are only putting 2-4 commercials per episode as the commercials will be way too long in comparision to the actual show. So any extra entries will be put in episode 2.

As for anyone else (like macnavi) who wishes to enter, but can’t have it ready for the deadline, still send it in and we will put it in episode 2, which will be coming out in Febuary (don’t quote me on that one).

The entries are in. The show is rendering. We only put in two 30 second entries and the rest shall be put in other episodes. If you make a commerical in the next couple of months send it and we’ll plop it in one of our next episodes. Thanx everyone. :D

Since this was a “contest” are you planning to announce the winners? or is it a suprise for them to find out when they watch the video (which might be a cool way to find out if you won!)

The winners are the ones who see their commercial in the show. However if yours isn’t in this episode it probably will be in the next set of commecials next episode, seeing as we thought all the commercials were good :D , but as we said before if we put too many commercials in then it will be too long in comparison to the show.

We hope to get a couple more entries for the next episode so it can be a competition like this one was. We will release the next deadline in the next couple of weeks. So feel free to start workning on any commercials you want to enter as this is a contest that will only end when the Temp stops being made. :wink

Hey everyone, here’s the details for contest #2. There’s alot less restrictions this time;

Commercial Contest: The Temp Episodes 2 & 3
Here at Lieberman Bros. we are making an online stopmotion series. The series is called “The Temp” Now since it’s a series and a show why don’t we put in some commercials.

So we thought of some commercials that we could make to put into the show. Some were okay, but we figured it would be much more interesting if the commercials were made by others.

Then we started to think a little and before you knew it we were hosting a contest. However, unfortunatly unlike other contests this contest will have no prizes other than the glory of your commercial being on the show. We are looking for 2 commercials for episode #2 and 2-4 for episode #3.

If you’d like to see Episode 1, go to our movies page.

What’s different this time around is there are very few limitations.

-No swearing/profanity will be accepted (mild language is allowed; for example “sh*t”, but no “f” word or “c” word or any of that)
-No adult themes (No sexual activity, yeah you sickos know what I’m talking about) :lol:
-Commercials must be no longer than 30 seconds.
-Commercials must be made with bricks or in cgi bricks
-Commercials must be filmed in 640×480 (or higher) resolution

All submissions are to be sent to LiebermanBros@yahoo.com . Entries must be recieved before May 1st, 2004. All email entries must be accompanied with;

-The names of all directors
-A working link to commercial

Well that’s about it. If you find any errors, have any suggestions, or questions please send us an email at darkgreen99@hotmail.com

Thank-you and Good Luck to All!

You should add a bump before you show the commericals in your films. It’s confusing when you change scenes into a commercial. IMO.

Hey! new deadline, seeing as the old one had passed. The next episode of the Temp hasn’t even been started what-so-ever. We however intend to get the bulk of it done during March break. We’ve estimated the film should be done around May/June (no later than that (I hope)) The new submission date is May 1st, 2004, but it may be extended to an even later date.
