I was thinking this story would make an amusing short for us to do. A few SFX, some good voicing and some interesting minifigs would make it an amusing short.
This would need Five voices:
Father
Mother
Sister
Brother
Mr. Pointy Nose
It would require quite a few sets (the way I’m envisioning it) and would rely mainly on dialogue. Since we already have the script, it would just be a matter of finding the right people to voice them.
What do y’all think? Boring? Not long enough? Not enough to it? Bad idea altogether? Good? Excellent? Perfect?

The first step would be securing permission from the author to use the story.
With an unusual number of homeschoolers in our community, I can see where it might have some appeal locally. I don’t know how entertaining it would be to a more general audience, though.

Also true.  I’m a homeschooler as well, so of course the first time I heard it I found it hilarious…and all too realistic.

I would say let’s just go on with it and don’t worry about permission. It’s reprinted all over the ‘net anyway.

Clay is always an option. And if that didn’t work… You could rename him to Mr. Pointy Hat or something, I don’t know…

I always imagined his voice as being the icing on the cake, not his nose…I like the clay idea though.

It isn’t a community project. It’s still a concept yet.

In my mind that pretty much kills it. I’m wanting to keep the community projects as clean as possible, in case one day we want to put them on DVD or something.
