So I was working on a trailer for a brickfilm and I was thinking it would be cool to have a contest centered around just a teaser trailer for a brickfilm (whether you plan on making the actual brickfilm or not)
It would be fun because you could use a ton of special effects and cool and quick lighting because it’s only going to be a few seconds anyways
I also submit that the main focus to aim for would be a higher standard of production value. I believe little quick shorts (such as a teaser trailer) can help pioneer improved digital effects and more interesting plots points. The filmmaker doesn’t have to neccessarely be burdened to telling a complete story.
Make it fun like the ones you see in the movie theaters while munching down on your pop corn!!!
What say you guys to that? I could host it but I don’t know what I’d do for prizes.
Could be fun, but I’m planning on making a film and you usually do the whole film before making a trailer. So when would the dead line be?
well like I said, You could make one for an actual film or just make up a fun trailer that you might very well have no intention on expounding on. Similar to the Rise of the Empire brickfilm which was just a fun trailer for the Star Wars III movie.
To answer your question, I would personally like it to end around September 17th (I leave for college right after that.)
I would, but I’ve got 3 films going at the moment.
This sounds like a great idea. As you said, trailers are great for trying out new techniques or effects.
I like this idea. As for September 17th… The contest I’m entering at the moment end on October 6th… We’ll see.
I have, like, three ideas for films I’ll probably never get around to completing, so I might as well give this contest a shot.
