Based on the success of the previous set of elections, I feel it is time to really put this system to the test. The following positions will be decided by elections on January 29th, 30th and 31st.

Minister of Film Rating – In charge of setting standards for and encouraging the rating of films in our directory. In the future this position will have a greater role, as there is a reconfiguration of the patrons and rating system planned. The Minister of Film Rating is expected to cooperate with the Minister of Film Reviews.

Minister of Film Contests – Responsible for organizing all official brickfilms.com contests. This includes conceiving of new ones and working with the site owner and sponsors to create tempting prize pools. This position carries a high degree of responsibility.*

Minister of Community Projects – Responsible for encouraging and managing the production of official brickfilms.com community projects. These films will be the only films branded with the brickfilms.com name and logo and must be held to a high standard of excellence.

Minister of Discussion- In charge of the forums and the chat. Responsibilities include setting standards for proper forums behavior and overseeing all moderators.*

*This position carries an immense amount of responsibility and, as such, this election will not be entirely democratic in the sense that the site owner can choose to render the results of the election null or can disqualify any candidates not considered adequate.

These posts will go into effect February 1st, 2007 and will last until July 1st, 2007.

Campaigning and civilized debate is welcome and encouraged, but must be restricted to the Citizens forum, the Political Parties forum, the chat, and sigs.

I would probably attempt to run for one of those if I wasn’t a lazy good for nothing procrastinator and if I had some more time to think about it.

EDIT: and a big mouth

Well, that comment alone would ruin you in any election you attempted to run in anyway.

This is all going rather well. Democracy with the safety net of common sense.

David West, perhaps? Hasn’t he helped out with past contests? THAC 2, right?

I don’t see revmen as a puppet manipulator myself.
