Hi, I was just wondering what program you guys use to make your movies. I was wondering if you use the one that came with the camera or a differant one. Becouse ive seen movies that ppl add special effects to the movie and you cant select differant frames with the original program. Like makeing a gun fire or somthing. Plz help

Since i dont use a QCP4000 i couldnt give any advice on whether to use the camera software or not but i would highly recommend alamdv.

i use the software that came with it to capture the film, and windows movie maker 2 to put it together. I am about to get Premiere, too. And I do agree with Bob Page; AlamDV is good for the fx. There’s also After Effects, if you have about 600 dollars. :)

I use the program that came with the camera. If you want to add effects to the video, click “end stop motion”, then open the clip with VideoMach http://www.gromada.com/VideoMach.html Put the frame in your paint program, then you can paint right in the frame! Take it back to Video Mach, and there you go. As you can see, I like to go for the free stuff :)

I use SMA with my QCP4k, though I’ve been thinking more and more about putting my student ID to use and getting myself a copy of Stopmotion Pro.

You should Revmen. I just got it last night, and it is amazing. You have no idea how much averaging even 5 frames will do for the picture quality. And the realtime playback actually works, even with my rather slow computer.

Nightfox: Don’t worry, it happens all the time. A friend of mine thought he scored a deal on Maya for $500. It turned out to be $5000. He’s not very good with what we’d call “numbers.” :wink

Well i use
windows movie maker
video mach (great for compressing files)
Alam dv (costs 80$ usd, demo leaves watermark which messes up editing process and takes away from the climax of the effect)
SMA
all great programs most are all free -aside from alam
