I’m not realy sure I feel comfortable giving my address to a complete stranger, although i guess people do that on Ebay all the time…

I’ll let the Trailer decide. :P

I’m just wondering, you said that the movie was a little too large to post here. How is that so? Are there file size restrictions for submitting films?

No, but if it’s three hours, the file will be gigantic.

Yes, but so was The Great Disturbance, an excellent movie well worth such a gigantic file size.

That was only about, 1-1/2 hours long. This one is DOUBLE that, if it’s real that is. :wink And people on 56K modems had to wait about 1 day to download that movie! Imagine, waiting TWO DAYS waiting for the movie to download. And if it’s made with Lego Studios, chances are that it’s not that great of quality. SO I dunno.

MAybe you’re SOME CREEPY GUY THAT JUST WANTS TO STEAL ADDRESSES AND STALK US.

My thoughts exactly!

Oh ha ha! Like I’ve got nothing better to do than stalk a bunch of amatuer film-makers! :P I’m too unambitious to do something like that

To all who are interested:

I just took care of sending out the 7th copy to those wanting to see the film. I’m willing to send out 3 more if anyone is still interested! Send me a PM if you are, for that’s where I have doing most of these transactions. Oh, and BTW, after the trailer is available I’ll consider sending out more copies if enough people are interested.

Best Regards,
Selavast

I still say that you put the DVD on bittorent, or even upload the movie in several pieces. That will save you money and aloow a lot more people to see your movie.

Yes, it would take 56k users forever, but what about the rest of us? :wink

Exactly–which would mean that the file size would be abnormally small, due to that lack of quality. And it would be even smaller if he compressed it :)

Actually, Lego Studios has a horrible compression rate, at 4 MB a minute, you could get a good quality film in other editors at that rate.

And as Selavast’s friend since he was 3, I can assure you that while he’s creepy, he’s not creepy enough to stalk people he doesn’t know.

As far as uploading goes, Selavast himself is on 56K, so the time on his end would be immense, and Lego Studios won’t export the movie into an .avi or whatever. This is how we have to distribute it, unfortunately.

And it really is 3 hours long. This was his labor of love, and he wants to share it. Consider yourselves lucky. Every time I see him doing something with movie, I just have to see it again. I worked on the dang thing, read the script, read lines, saw it at least 6 times, and I still like watching it.

Would it be possible to import the Lego Studios clips into another movie editor, say Windows Movie Maker or Vegas 6.0? Then you could compress/export the movie into whatever format you wish.

You worked almost 2 years on that movie, yet you don’t even have a poster, or a trailer, or a DVD cover, not even a single screenshot to show us :?

This is something I have never seen before…
