    I’de suggest SmartFTP.

I was wondering if there were any good free FTP clients?

I am wondering whether you actually read the post you just made yourself.

I’ve used “FTP Surfer” for a while. I can’t remember anything about it though, besides the name.

You might want to Google it, or simply Google for other free FTP clients.

If you use the Firefox browser (If you don’t, you should, it’s a great web browser!), there’s an FTP extension called FireFTP. I don’t know how good it is, as I’ve never used it.

I prefer Filezilla these days, works well for me, and can be made portable.

I’ve heard good things about the FireFTP plugin, but I like to keep my browser free of things that don’t directly pertain to browsing. As is the only one I use is Image Zoom, mostly so I can be lazy and sit way back from my monitor and see tiny images that people post.
