When did the ‘Community forum’ turn into a ‘Gaming forum’? Personally, I am not at all interested in games, and I’m getting tired of this talk about First-Person Shooters and Strategy games in whatever version they come out.
I know, I can skip those topics if I don’t like them.
But I can’t: I’m a mod, trying to find threads to be locked or cleaned up.

I’m with wandrer 100% on this one…
it’s not like it’s hard to find a dedicated gaming forum you guys.
yes this forum is for “general community chatter”, and yes we live in a gaming world of nothing but repetitive, sameish FPS’ers that let you play with cheating tools on the other side of the globe, so the variety of games to actually talk about is limited, and that’s fun for some, but SURELY there are OTHER places FILLED with people who might actually care what game you play on tuesday nights, that you could post at?

try reading the posts, no one is disputing that gaming is “just like a part of life to some people”. This thread is about something else.

I only see three or four topics related to gaming. That’s not a whole lot. The “Warcraft III” topic you could lock/delete after tonight, I would think. I think DFB is done with his Battlefield 1942 topic, as everyone who seems to want to play together has said so in that thread.
Lighten up. There are plenty of other, more useless topics around here.

but alas if we wish to talk about gameing i guess a gamers subsection in the community forums would be nice…..
on the other hand we got ppl who have to mod it
( i think that i could do the modin for it if rev were willing…….
maybe even SOTW………..)
anywho….
guess we could try to limit the gameing part a bit…..
keep it to gamespy……..

course theres also the fact that in any COMMUNITY forum there are bound to be gamers online also…….

Proteus, I think your keyboard is broken. Try levering up the full stop/period key and see if there’s anything in there that’s causing it to stick.

No, it’d just be a waste of space. We’re lucky to even have a community forum. I wouldn’t go around asking for a gaming forum as well, which in no way is related to brickfilming.

I think the Quake and first person shooting game topics have been overheard enough. Talking about gaming occasionally would be fine, in my opinion, but I don’t think using the community forum as a gaming forum would be appropriate.

This is the place to carry on all of your non filming related conversations. An excellent chance to find out who your fellow brickfilmers really are
there you go, it says right there that all non-filming related topics are allowed, and besides most og these are us trying to plan get-togethers for the community to play,and since all of us post here, its the easiest way to plan get-togethers
if its such a big deal to you make a separate forum for it here, i’d be willing to mod it (as would the posters above)
