I am a big fan of this site and of Brickfilms in general. I have been watching Brickfilms on this site and YouTube since around 2005. I actually haven’t discovered the Community/Forums until a couple days ago. I am looking forward to BF 3.0, which I understand is soon to be released. It appears to me as though some of my favorite Brickfilmers have left (like Bluntman), but there are still some here, I am big fans of. I, to date, have only made one movie I am happy with, and that was made in ’06 when I was a wee lad with my friend and his dad. Unfortunately, the voices sound extremely childish (which they were, especially since we used toddlers as some voice actors), but technically I am pretty happy with it, considering it was made with free software and more than two years ago. I didn’t want to submit it or anything, but I just thought I’d show you. I did read the Brickfilms Chronicles, and all I can say is that I hope this site goes for an upward swing. I might soon become a Patron, because I feel $9 is a great contribution to make per year for all the benefits, and I think this site could use an extra boost. I also soon plan on buying the new MacBook, along with iStopMotion and some Adobe products (notify me if these are bad choices). I really like BrickFilms, and I love this site. I’m not going to join BricksinMotion until this site really dies, which I don’t think it will. If you think I should join BIM as well, tell me, but right now I don’t see a need. This post has been kind of all over the place, but I would love any feedback you can give me about anything.

About those things you are planning to buy, Mac is a great choice and what Adobe products are you planning on buying? If you just want some VFX software you can find much cheaper or even free software to get the job done.
I myself only started brickfilming a short time ago.
The main reason I can see for using BiM as well as this site is that it’s far more active. I still use both sites, but there’s currently more activity at BiM and I like that

Second, I’m saying that because he said what he thought of someone elses brickfilm (they were just starting to brickfilm so it wasn’t that great), and he was rather strong on what he said.

He could’ve lurked for a while. And I knew about a lot of people here in my first month-and-a-half.
Also, just because he’s harsh on things, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t “take it to heart.” It’s not like he’s attacking you. On the thread you’re talking about, everybody was either really nice or giving blind praise. A harsh criticism was probably the best thing for the thread.

What I’m trying to say is Lech is somtimes hard in his critisism.
Critisism is not a bad thing, but do it in moderation.

I just think you handled it a little to harshly.
It’s one thing to say(Example):
“The lighting was bad, and animation was bad, and it was realy fuzzy.”
and
“Your lighting was just horrable, I’ve seen cats do better animation, and it was as fuzzy as the pelts of 37 squirrals.”
Well, I don’t know exactly what you guys are arguing about. If it is about what benji said about Lechnology, it was in jest (or so I think), and it doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. If anybody has criticism (no matter how harsh) for my videos than I will take it in stride, utilize it, or ignore it if it is simply unintelligent. That, in my view, is what everybody else should do. Words are simply words, and if they are online, they are still words. You know that “sticks and stones” saying? :wink Lech, I think we do need something to balance the YouTube’s crowd’s amateurish reviews because a lot of them are unknwoledgeable and are simply things to be disregarded. I would appreciate the BF community’s input because (most) of them no what they are doing.
