everybody [else] was either really nice or giving blind praise. A harsh criticism was probably the best thing for the thread.
Something to balance the Youtube crowd’s amateurish reviews.August 30, 2008 at 3:02 pm #399861
First off, what do you know? You only joined like 1 and a half months ago.
He could’ve lurked for a while. And I knew about a lot of people here in my first month-and-a-half.
What I’m trying to say is Lech is somtimes hard in his critisism.
Critisism is not a bad thing, but do it in moderation.

I just think you handled it a little to harshly.
It’s one thing to say(Example):
“The lighting was bad, and animation was bad, and it was realy fuzzy.”
“Your lighting was just horrable, I’ve seen cats do better animation, and it was as fuzzy as the pelts of 37 squirrals.”August 30, 2008 at 7:04 pm #399873
Umm, am I allowed to post in this topic anymore?
Well, I don’t know exactly what you guys are arguing about. If it is about what benji said about Lechnology, it was in jest (or so I think), and it doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. If anybody has criticism (no matter how harsh) for my videos than I will take it in stride, utilize it, or ignore it if it is simply unintelligent. That, in my view, is what everybody else should do. Words are simply words, and if they are online, they are still words. You know that “sticks and stones” saying? :wink Lech, I think we do need something to balance the YouTube’s crowd’s amateurish reviews because a lot of them are unknwoledgeable and are simply things to be disregarded. I would appreciate the BF community’s input because (most) of them no what they are doing.
So, thanks for all of your sincere welcomes! Happy Labor Day Weekend! Oh, also a question. How do you embed YouTube videos?

Sheesh. You guys just trashed Manvan’s thread.
Welcome to Brickfilms, Manvan!
I believe you use to embed youtube videos.

Hello ManVan, Hope you enjoy the stay.
I agree with Sean about BiM, I’m hardly on this site, while an active member on BiM.August 30, 2008 at 9:52 pm #399881
I just watched your film, and I remember coming across it a long time ago with a friend. He’s very pro-Bush, so he didn’t find it funny at all, and I had to stop it half way through. It is an enjoyable little short, even though there are many static shots of people talking.August 30, 2008 at 10:45 pm #399887
That’s funny badgerboy. We actually didn’t mean to make the President Bush at all. My friend’s dad and his whole family (including him) were Republicans, it’s just that we like talking in Southern accents, so it kinda turned out like Bush. And I did the VP Southern as well, and I also did the Prime Minister (we went to a French school, so it was fun to do that). We weren’t very good at the hand-talking thing at the time, so that is why we have the static shots.
I also forgot to ask, have you guys seen the Go Miniman Go contest on Gizmodo? That is actually what brought me back to Brickfilms. I think I might try to create something for that, and maybe use it for a Nicktoons entry as well. I’ll see how that turns out!
Also, I thought I’d mention that I will start offering my voice services soon, because I am thinking about buying a Blue Mic Snowflake or Snowball. That would allow me to do much better voice samples, and I have a wide range of voices, so until I get a Mac, I could do voices for people! (Note that my voice has matured extremely. :))
You may also have noticed that I don’t post unless I have a lot to say.
All the best,

Ahh, yes – The Go Miniman Go contest looks pretty interesting. O’m not planning on entering it, but the prizes are pretty neat.

Just for the record, there’s been a couple of big discussions on the Go Miniman Go event over at BiM…August 31, 2008 at 5:18 pm #399911
Don’t push it
