Greetings and welcome to the HAT nominations proceedings. If you can suddenly see this forum, it’s because I’ve added you to the contest nominations group as my way of “asking” you to take part in the nominations. Of course you are not required to do so. This will be handled very similar to the way we did APE, but with a much smaller committee in the interest of speed. After watching all of the HAT films, please make a list of recommended films based on the criteria set forth on the HAT page (currently behind the events link). Your list needs to be between 1 and 10 films. Once everyone has posted their lists, I’ll analyze the data and try to decide a cutoff point mathematically, like I did last time. I will not be making my own nominations this time, as I played a part in one of the entries and therefore cannot be completely impartial. A discussion of your reasoning for including or discluding films is encouraged, but not necessary. |

If you don’t mind, rstudios and myself will work together on this task. When do you need our replies. Rob has watched 17, I have only watched four so far! How long do you think it will be before a thread starts up about ‘What should the theme of the next competition be?’ |

This is a bit easier for me, I rarely enjoy adventure films, so the ones I do are usually worth being nominated. Seeing Red by Ladonite logan |

edited to say that I have now watched every film, making long lists of scores and notes and rankings as I go. Here are the films I’d like to nominate. Daedius and Icarus – yellowhat I didn’t rank them in the order I liked them. Does that matter? |

No, the order doesn’t matter. Being on the list just gives it a score of “1″ in the nominating system. |

My nominees, in no particular order: Wanderer – Daedalus and Icarus Special mention – one of my favorite of these films, though I don’t think it quite fit the catagory of “adventure” – PE – Rohaddey – one of the weirdest Brickfilms ever. Imagine That! was also fun to watch. And for most adorably cute voice in a Brickfilm EVER, I nominate whoever played the girl in Star of the Five Treasures (I think it was Nathaniel’s little sister). |

Without any particular order : Sai The Magic Word – Bluntman I deeply sorry and I know how hard it is to achieve a brickfilm but I think that |

Sorry, I’m having terrible computer problems at the moment so I haven’t been able to watch all the entries. In fact, I’ve only seen 3 so far. I’m probably not in the best position to nominate anyone |

Looks like Digital Dave is out. I hear he’s in the hospital. Hopefully he gets out soon and maybe even has a chance to nominate before I close this thing off, which will be soon. |

OK, I’m going to close this off now. I was hoping one more person would vote in order to break a tie for 10th place, but I’ve decided to just do it myself. So here are the nominees: Alidabababad – 7 Not nominated but mentioned here are: Speed Demon – 2 I decided to break the tie myself between Lost and Speed Demon. Speed Demon is fun, but it’s not nearly as substantial a film as Lost in my opinion. |

I said I would vote on Sunday and you said that was OK. I spent a long time reviewing these today so for what it’s worth… Aladibababad – Leftfielder EDIT: I see that you have posted a nominations thread so I am too late. I have to say I am annoyed about this. We did agree Sunday was OK. |
