Yolegoman, I have all the software you mentioned (except BSL). How do you get your SMA clips into WMM? If you use WMM to make your movies what do you use Video Mach for?

flash….im not allowed to do any of the things you listed aside from the change picking. You can use vid.mach. when you need to…its good for compressing files. Ferder….not to be rude but have you ever used sma?
seems not…you click done to finish animation…and figure out what you want to call it and where you want to save it (then save it). Then import the file into wmm and add it to the storyboard…its quite simple really..

Actually I downloaded SMA just a few weaks ago. I already know about how to save the clips and all that, but importing them into WMM seems to be a bit awkward since every time I import a clip it becomes its own collection, then I have to move the clip into my main collection then delete the new collection. There has to be a faster way to do this.

Hmmm. I’m not sure I still want to use WMM. I heard that DDclip can be used to edit. Where can I get the XP version? I tried a link off http://www.bricksinmotion.com but the link doesn’t work. :(

I use the free version of DDCLIP, and the problem is not with xp it is with your hard drive, on the site it says they’ve had problems with it not installing on hard drive with lots of space. When I first tried it on my hard drive it did not work, I tried it again a couple weeks or a month later and it did. But I do perfer WMM2 for putting sound in videos :) .

speaking of sound, how many sounds can be on the sound track at once on WMM?

1, but you can overlap the sounds

Or do what I do, render the file at max quality, load it again, then add another sound that way, works great.

Yolegoman, who adamntly refuses to switch to Premiere, no matter how cheap he can get it…

Excuse me? Homeschoolers get “social interaction” as well. At least in my area. Homeschool basketball, soccer, lacrosse, game nights, need I go on? The real plus in my mind is that I get to spend more time with my family.

and besides you can (sometimes) get a better education being homeschooled since you can have it fit to your individual needs.

No one school or even type of school is the best school for everyone. People learn in different ways and prefer different environments. It is true that perhaps homeschooling was the best way to go for you, Ferder, but it is probably not true that everyone would get a better education if they were homeschooled.

Remember, you only get out of education what you put into it. Take what you have and make the most of it.
