I uploaded my film into brickshelf.com but how do I put a link to it on my website?
Whoa, judging from your last 4-5 posts it would seem that you just jumped off the cliff and now you’re drowning in the vast sea of brickfilming.
Well don’t freak out, you’re not going to die…
Here’s your answer,
I’m assuming you’re using geocities page builder, right ?
Well if you are, this is all you do:
1. Hit “create text”, type in the title of your film.
2. Highlight the text, hit the “links” button and select “Url”, then in the box next to that put in the address of the exact FILE you wish to link to at your brickshelf account. (not the address of your folder)
3. hit ok
How do I FIND OUT the exact link?
Right-click the actual file and select “copy link location”…
then paste that as the address in the url links box.
Well since one of the mods (revmen most likely?) deleted your thread before I had time answering I’ll give you a bit of a run down of deep linking.
** Deep linking**
to deep link you login to your brickshelf account, goto you movie folder. put the mouse cursor over you movie then right click the mouse and select “copy shortcut” come back here then right click “paste” and you’ll then get a link to the Movie itself and not the page full of your movies.
so for example instead of people coming to this. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=11685
they come to this http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/flash1015/legomovies/thetreatment.rm
don’t worry some one else will clarify if this is to confusing.
I got it!
