I completely disagree with these kinds of news stories. If there’s news like this that you feel is important, create a thread in the forums. The front page is for major brickfilms events and for the general public. Those types of stories are entirely out of place there, in my view.
There seems to be an attitude amongst many of the candidates running for Minister of Information that more posts on the front page is always better. Yes, we do need to keep the front page updated regularly, and I think that’s been happening now, but we shouldn’t post news just for the sake of slapping something new on the frontpage. If there is nothing of importance happening, then there is no need to post anything.
Also, if I’m being honest, I’m concerned that your writing ability and spelling might not be strong enough for this position.June 11, 2007 at 9:28 pm #294733
Well, I never said I would post news on the front page constantly and just for the sake of it. Though, you are right about stories outside of the BrickFilms Community are out of place. However, they can still grab interest! If a thread is made out of it, I could still link it on the front page. Members here may go straight to the forums, but visitors could just take a brief glance at the front page and go look for films in the directory. Even some members might not go straight to the forums, but it’ll help them if they are interested in whatever is in the news post.
Each post is going to be double-checked to ensure that the grammar and spelling is correct. Spelling can just be the result of a typo.June 18, 2007 at 4:48 pm #296538
First, I want to thank all of those who seconded me and allowed me to become a candidate.
Second, I am on a long vacation until July 21st or so. So, if I was elected, I would appoint a deputy to cover in my absence. And should any questions arrive, I may not be able to answer them for a while, as where I am, internet is very limited.

Well, as it looks like it doesn´t seem I´ll win, I´ll congratulate Dragoon.
Want to thank all of you for your suggestions, and your critiques, specially to Mr. Watson.
Thank you, . I guess I´ll have to try harder for the next elections in this position.
