I’m trying to connect my Sony HVR-V1U camera to my MacBook Pro (or I could do it to a Mac Pro tower) to do a project in iStopMotion Pro. iStopMotion says it will only take HDV resolution with HDMI, but none of these Macs have a straight HDMI port. I tried an HDMI to mini-DVI adaptor, but this did not help. iStopMotion suggests using the Blackmagic Intensity HDMI Card, but it’s the same story there – HDMI out, sVideo out, component out.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
