Well, first off, I’d like to say congratulations to the new ministers. You guys deserve it.
My next order of business is discussing the next elections. I’m going to say some bad things about some ministers in here, but please don’t take it personally. All I’m stating is facts.
I want to know why there isn’t going to be a June election for the Ministers that didn’t resign. I’m not saying this out of spite, but mainly because it’s not really fair that they get off the hook and get to go for a year. Correct me if I’m wrong, but some of the ministers that didn’t resign aren’t doing anything (I’ll be referring to them as the “old ministers” throughout this post.)
Krick hasn’t made a news update since March, and he hasn’t even made a post since May 1st. However, he is frequently on ILB. Has he abandoned Brickfilms? Do we want him to continue to do nothing as MoI until December?
MindGame’s last post was May 8th. Since everybody started resigning, he hasn’t done much, either (or so my sources tell me). He also hasn’t been posting much, and is frequently on ILB.
Lechnology is the only one that, in my opinion, is fulfilling his duties as a minister. There’s not much he can actively do, but he helps with every CP that comes around, and he’s good at what he does.
So my question is: Why aren’t we having re-elections for these three positions? Not only is it not fair, but two of the ministers aren’t doing anything. They’re on ILB more than they are on here.
Also, to Krick and MindGame, please don’t take this personally. You can’t deny what I posted here, and I personally like you both.May 20, 2008 at 8:25 pm #389668

FYI, after the December election, Schlaeps approved to change MoCP length of term to 1 year, rather than 6 months. After the new administration took over, TAAB also agreed to the extension so the position of MoCP is now exempted from semi-annual elections and is now an anually elected position. You can’t get a project done in 6 months. 1 year is possible, although we’ve yet to have a project that has had enough commitment and effort to be finished in a year.May 20, 2008 at 10:08 pm #389680May 21, 2008 at 12:07 am #389694
An Old OreParticipant
I believe that Mindgame had actually resigned some time ago, just with less of a fanfare than some of the other old ministers.
I agree that ministers who are not doing their duties ought to be replaced, but there are some positions where a minister might be doing a lot of work but it’s just not apparent from the outside.
Maybe in another month the ministers could do another “state of the site” thread where they say what they are doing / what they are going to do…May 21, 2008 at 1:02 am #389701May 21, 2008 at 5:42 am #389718

Don’t believe everything you read. The user-groups list probably hasn’t been updated.
Actually, it has been updated. All the Ministers from the latest elections are already up there. If he wasn’t MoS still, he would’ve been removed.
So, Zane, ahnt, TAAB? Have you seen this? Have you thought about it? Have you guys even noticed that two of our ministers are inactive? I mean, in the last month, ahnt and StevieCollins have done more of Krick’s job than Krick himself.
