dunno what all the fuss is about, resizing an entire directory of images, and saving them all to a single file type is ridiculously easy… all it takes is a minute to set up a batch process in photoshop, point it at a directory and let it ripp. simple

exactly, that’s how simple it is.
But reducing the size is not everything, you need to add shapness, b’cos it will look to blurry.

Do we have an estimated launch date for the new site? I mean, are we just waiting for the film database, etc. to be completed now or what?

If there’s anything I can do to speed things up, just ask. I do PHP and graphics design.

LOL the date has already been pushed about 5 months!!! 😮

July 31st is what I consider to be a realistic launch date. The film directory is done. Bluntman took over the resources section and it is done. The front page is done. The whole site is tied into the phpBB2 database, so your forums username is now recognized sitewide. I’ve got some more areas to flesh out and some backdoor stuff that needs to be done, but the end of the month is looking pretty good.

Of course, I reserve the right to push that date back 😉

I can’t wait until it’s done. It will look so professional from what I hear and there will be so few of us in the forum. Strange?… BUT WONDERFUL!

    :)
