OK, something that I think really needs to be done and should be well within the ability of someone in this community is to develop a theme for the forum. Subsilver works fine, but 85% of the phpBB forums out there are using it. We need something different, something we can call our own.
Is anyone up to it? Remember, the forum is where people spend the most time on Brickfilms, so it’s gotta be good!

i tried skinning phpbb before, i believe you need adobe photoshop

Why wouldn’t PSP suffice? It’s only a bunch of graphics…

I think an easy way of proceeding would be to just download a theme that was close to what you wanted and modified the pics to your liking.
The great thing about themes in phpBB is that they’re so easy to apply and change. In fact, you can maintain several themes at once and each user can choose which one he wants for himself. The admin chooses one to be the default, which is seen by anyone not logged in and is the default choice for a new user.

OK, let’s go ahead and pull this post back on topic before I delete it and start it over again.
It’s pretty simple really, I want someone to make a theme for the message board. Is anyone willing to do it? If not, that’s fine, I’ll do it myself. But I’d rather someone else to do it because 1) I’m involved with the many other projects that go along with acquiring the site and 2) many people have expressed a willingness or even desire to help me with the site, and seems like an excellent chance to do just that.

Hey! I love photoshop and use it almost every day. If you want, I would really like to design somethin. All I need is an example of every image or border or whatever that you want changin and all the sizes and stuff!

The easiest way to get an example of every image, would be to download PHPBB yourself and take a look at the directory.
Or, as RevMen said, take one of the themes and modify it.
