Okay, this has been discussed but to my knowledge it hasn’t been done yet. [spoiler=Instructions/Rules]1. One person posts a mini animation contest (e.g. “Best Walk Cycle”) Have fun! My contest is: “Best 30 Second Fight Scene!” It can be under 30 seconds but that is the maximum. |

Do you have a deadline set for each challenge or does it all depend on the number of entries posted? I like this. The incentive I see here is that it gives animators a reason to animating and help improve their skills. |

Do you want just a 30 second fight scene or can there be sound and stuff? ANd if you choose not to use sound, would this affect your chance of winning? |

A 30 second fight scene is pretty long to animate. |

@ Lech: As said in the rules, you have a week to make each film. I will also add to the rules that you can have sound. I suppose that it depends entirely on the current judge as to whether it will lower your chances if you don’t have sound. |

I was planning to work a same kind of contest out even more, into a more encouraging version, (Outdo This!, for those who can remember my idea in the chat) but my laptop is still away for reparations. I hope you aren’t stealing it, MB. |

During THAC, I also thought of this in the chat. Dave and some other people liked it so I posted it as a suggestion in the Next Contest Thread. MB wanted to make it because no one was, so I let him. Sorry CrystalBrick, we didn’t know you were planning on a better one. |

I’m going to let my bro play LSW for a bit then kick him off, then start working. |

Well, this coming Monday, it’s Labor day. So that means I get a four day week end off from school. I’ll work on the film starting Friday. I have one question tho. Does this film we make have to be like none stop fighting? (Example) Like if one of the figs just got kicked off a 3 story building, and landed on the sidewalk below. Can there be a little chit-chat between the fighter and some random person(s) he meets on the sidewalk? |
