I’m planning to create a short horror film about vampires and I want the background sound effect to be something unique and haven’t used from any horror movie yet. Do you have any suggestions?

Wew.. that would be hard krisha. but maybe if you could be more specific. choose from: Orchestral background music? or a (gothic or death) band background music?

Something mellow can be a good option if you want it unique. Vampire story with mellow music seems weird but seems vampires are connected with old ages and lives for hundred of years, an old music can be used in the music. Add some gothic sound during scary scene too.
