It’s been a month or so since I posted my video, I’m new here and I was just wondering if it normally takes this long (or even longer) for a video to be accepted or not.

We have a large amount of films currently waiting to be reviewed. I had believed that our review panel had been working on accepting films, but it seems like they may be slowing down. Don’t worry though, I’ll make sure it gets reviewed soon.
There’s also a chance it might have been rejected. I’ll check that for you.

I checked out your video. Unfortunately you have the video set to private, so I am unable to review it. Normally if a video is set to private I reject it on-the-spot, but since you have been waiting so long I will make an exception. Please set the video to public so a reviewer can watch it. Thanks.

Thanks! But how do I set my video off private?

It’s an option in Youtube. Go to your video page where it lists all of your videos, then click “Edit,” and under “Broadcasting and Sharing Options,” set it to “Share your video with the world.”

Because I went to “view your films” on brickfilms.com, clicked on my video, clicked on the “This is your movie! Edit it!” button, and I couldn’t find any of this.

Do I have to get a Youtube account in order to fix this problem? I don’t mind if I have to.

Yes, it is with Youtube.
I wasn’t aware that you didn’t upload this film on Youtube first before submitting the film. No, you don’t have to get a Youtube account to fix the problem.
This must be a problem with the site’s Youtube account. I will sort this trouble out and I’ll get back to you once everything is worked out. Thanks.

I noticed that (on brickfilms.com) I can watch the videos from Youtube as soon as I click on the video. And the videos that aren’t from Youtube, I sometimes can’t watch!
So will it be a better decision if I get a Youtube account and follow the steps you mentioned earlier?
I’ll try to keep my questions to a minimum, so that I won’t have to waste your time!

The only way that getting a Youtube account would help is if you uploaded your video there, and then resubmitted it to the directory with a link to the video instead of uploading through the site. But don’t do that just yet, let me work this out first. I PMed thickasabrick (the site admin) about it and hopefully that will get things fixed.

No problem. Don’t worry about asking too many questions, that’s why I am here  Also, the videos that you are referring to that you say you can’t watch are film that you have to download to watch, I believe, as the only films that are in the directory that aren’t from Youtube are the downloadable films and the Vimeo films, and if you can watch Youtube films you should be able to watch the films on Vimeo as well.

Sorry I took so long to get back. I’ve been waiting for a response from TAAB, but she hasn’t responded.
I’d recommend that you just re-upload the video from your own Youtube account. Sorry about the inconvenience.

But how do I delete the un-wanted video that I made earlier?

I’ll take care of that.
EDIT: I reviewed both of your films. I rejected Forest Fight, and accepted Windsurfing.
There wasn’t much going on in either, and I would’ve rejected both, but Windsurfing had some nice animation and was very soothing. Forest Fight had quite a few technical issues and was really simple, and so I couldn’t accept it.
Sorry that it’s taken this long for closure.
