Good day to you, I am writing here to post my views on what the Resources page should be like. First off, I think the Resources page should be spread across several pages, not several files however. I mean this in a way that if the user clicks a Category, he is given the links to the things in those categories. However, I think a full featured Admin panel is in place where the Administrator of the Resources section can Add Categories, Edit them and Delete them, also add and manage things in those Categories. Good idea or not? It will make it easier for the person who Administrates the Resources and people who view them.
The only other thing I intend to implement is not only a small redesign of the Admin Panel to make it more like the other pages, along with a welcome text (which the Admin can edit as well). I would make sure that everything in the Resources remains up to date and that all links to Resources are not broken. In the past I have found a couple of people who have changed servers or redesigned their websites have not included Articles they posted in the new site.
Part of this means that Articles should have their own place on the Database, instead of linking off to another site the person in need of the Article can read it from the website instead. This is really simple and has already been done with some articles on the site (The camera one for example).
This is what I will do if I am voted for Minister of Resources. Thank you.

I like the resources other than them being out of date, but I agree that adding new interviews occasionally would be a neat idea. (If other candidates latch on to this idea as well, I wouldn’t think less of them.) However your other ideas I don’t like. The idea of members being able to add links would make the resources not much different from the Wiki, and the idea of the resources section is to have a place where everything is cleanly laid out and organized through a unified standard and system.June 8, 2007 at 10:03 pm #293575

Aled, you are a great guy. You’re definitely ambitious, and open-minded; and you’ve been very conceding and polite despite a lot of criticism and harsh comments. (Bordering on insults.)
That’s very admirable. I like to see people trying to participate in the community, and strech themselves, to learn and grow in their interests.
Definitely showing great initiative and ingenuity. Keep up the good work!
