hey, ok, how come the only transitions that look good are DISOLVE.
i am using adobe premier 6.5 and when i make a transition other then disolve, list spin away or soemthing, the back ground is black, is there a way to make the back ground the next clip?

In Vegas Video you have to overlap the clips to get a transition to work. Don’t know if Premiere is the same.

To do a transition in Premiere, you need to have one of your clips in track 1A and one in 1B. Position them so they both occupy the same time for as long as you want your transition. Then just drag the transition you want to the transitions track in between them. The transition will occur during the time where all 3, the two tracks and the transition, are overlapping.

It’s kinda like the “clips” and “titles” in the edit part of LS.
