    Hi,

I’ve just decided to change the wrestling test I did a while ago.
It’s much better, with better SFX,A SKETCHY MATION intro sequence (nothing special), And 2 small trailers for my new upcoming films.

You should check it out on my website now. :)

Nice job on the wrestling and Jet Raven animation. I liked the “bullet time” effect during the wrestling scene that worked out well. Didnt quite grasp the last trailer when the guy sits on the couch though.

Yes!!! No real player!!! Excellent use of bullet time during wrestling. One thing though. Undertaker choke slammed Sketchy Dude pretty quick. I didn’t quite understand the guy on the couch either.

Nice, Sketchy. The bullet time was cool, and the trailer for Jet Raven was nicely put together. The last trailer reminded me of Geek Out, for some reason…

The guy on the bench: trailer for Fred & Steve, episode one.

Sketchy, I’d suggest using another face for the guy: the comparison with Bluntman’s films will undoubtedly come up if you don’t. If you want this film to be valued on its qualities, rather than on coincidences with other films, step away from that formula.

Otherwise: good films! I’m not a fan of bullet-time (especially in stop-motion where it’s nothing special), but the overall pacing of the fighting scenes was good: This Jet Raven film should be one to look forward to!

As a last suggestion, you could try to get that framerate up to 15fps.

    Stefan.

the last scene with the guy on the couch was very smooth (maybe you should try to make all the other animation as smooth as this :)

Looks like WCS2 will have some cool competition 8) (But mine will be better :evil )

    Hi Wandrer 2 :)

Well, I have finished filming the film, so I can’t change the characters in it. The other guy, Steve, has a sorta resemblence with Dave, but he’s got blonde hair and wears a soccer outfit.

I’ve already started work on the second episode as well, so unless I start over again, which would mean a lot of work, I’ll have to keep it like that. :)

With the Jet Raven, I did do it at 15 frames per second, but the reason why the Fred and Steve trailer was smother was because it’s easier to do animation with one character than it is with many characters. Also, it’s my first time doing a fight scene :)

I didn’t put a name on the last clip, Fred and Steve, as my program I use keeps on crashing.

Anyways, thanks for the possitive relply’s.

Great job on the wrestling. Undertaker didn’t look like himself but that can be easily fixed. The chokeslam was pretty quick though so maybe try to keep the guy up there longer. I liked the ring though, it was pretty good.

P.S the rage against the machine song is called “bombtrack” not “know your enemy”. Lots of people seem to call it that though so it doesn’t really matter which one you call it.

Yhere, I named it “Know your Enemy”, and not bomb track, but, you know, I got confused :)

Anyway, i agree with you all saying that the choke slam was too quick.

I’ll be making another wrestling movie, probably a match. But, work is taking up a lot of my spare time, so it probably won’t be that soon.

Also, It’s Friday the 13th in America now, yesterday was our (Or rather Australia’s) Friday 13th. The point being is that I’ll try to get a short Sketchy Dude short 2/4 film done. But, as I said before, work is taking up a lot of my time.

Hey, LoganArts Co, you use Pinnacle Studios, right? And you say that the files are too big? Well, when you expot them, make them into a .wmv, and have it on STREAM, not Share or the others. I think that’s why the file of your talking test was a bit large. Anyways, hope it helps :)
