I would guess most went with ths stock Movie Maker.

Yes, but I’m currently trying to find out what’s the best lower-end program; WMM is just too simple and restrictive; it’s really meant for slideshows and videos only. Do you have a favorite that you could point me towards?

Avidemux is free and is more advanced than WMM.

Movie maker :-) It already comes with the OS
