Whilst still at the scrip-writing stage, I suggest that lines that a female is meant to say be written by a female. I’m not being sexist, but males and females think differently and it always bugs me when I see a film and they have a female saying things in a way that a female wouldn’t normally say.

He obviously has women figured out and knows what they’d say. I suggest you give him the job of writting th parts for women… :wink

Hey everyone, guess i should post something here after a long delay (read: family emergencies, etc.). Anyways, by this point you all know that the outline i wrote up is the one that Revmen is backing and the one we’re going forward with. I’d like to make a few comments based on the replies i’ve seen thus far in the thread.

First of all i appreciate all the assistance people are willing to lend to the project… we will need a lot of help to get this completed in a timely manner, so trust me if you have expressed an interest or desire to help, there’ll be plenty to do!

Secondly i am starting to write a more detailed outline in two variants (one with an added female character) so as the script writing team gets formed (being worked on now) they can decide which direction to go. I agree that the part of the female needs a feminine touch in the writing. I like to think that i can write a female character and make her believeable, but i’m a guy and think that i can always write well~! I have written various fan fiction and had several female characters. Part of the script writing process i’m sure will be taking turns at writing the female character all the while getting input from women and incorporating their ideas. Granted this goes a lot easier with a female brickfilmer, but the chances of finding a girl that likes lego AND does brickfilming… well i might just start playing the lottery again! (just kidding, to any females reading this, we could use your help!!)

I really want to see this film take off and be very successful. The initial outline i wrote calls for some pretty spectacular scenes (both in the aspect of filming and set design). I’m a sucker for a great set. While it’s really too early to really talk about set building, i realize that not everyone has a ton of bricks to build the proper set. This should NOT be a deterrent though in helping out. Hence why i’m planning on making parts of my collection (it’s pretty big so i can afford to lend a hand here) available to people who need extra bricks to make their sets more believable and bigger Naturally this is a loan and i’d need the bricks back, but we can talk about specifics as the time goes on.

All in all i think you’re going to like the final cut of the script once it gets completed and (well… ) started! It’s a fun film that will be easy to get into and enjoyable to watch! Keep posting thoughts!
