That can be done my cloning, you would just need a good Blue Screening program and Axagon Composer. Technically.

It wouldn’t need an audience. What I meant was just having a plain room (maybe just plain white) where each animator makes a clip of their minifigs performing a song and then they all the best ones are put together and then someone (maybe RevMen) has an animation of the judge anouncing which one is the best. Another way to solve the audience problem would be that who ever puts the clips together chromakeys the audience in.

Geeze, I go back for a week and you guys spring this on me. ZOMG!!!
I would love to do a musical, and would love to sing in it (I had a lead in my school musical last year, and was in the chorus the previous year.) So if you guys want me to do any singing, I can also sing in a few accent. I sing tennor. /brag
Seriously though, singing, voice acting, scripting… COUNT ME IN!

I dont think a stage based idea would be hard. the stage set can be simple and easy to recreate, and the judges and crowd could be done by one person or one group of animators. The interesting part is in seeing what sets people will perform, what songs they will use.
this makes me want to do some crowd surfing animations.

a musical would be bad, think of trying to record it. and then putting it all together with all the different voices. i think we should make a cool, GOOD, original, well animated, well directed, well made action film. it should include all the decent fetures of a real film, in depth story. kinnda like the matrix. also badass characters. i dont think i have seen on decent big gunfight on the brickfilms forum, maybe this could be “the one”.
